Like the previous week, it had been raining which caused a few problems for us - we were unable to complete our dragging scenes as no one was willing to carry out the practical side of it. In addition to this, the slippery mud made it difficult for us to run at a realistic pace in order to make the scene believable. This was solved by creating more tension from body language rather than the pace the characters were running.
Filming at an earlier time in the day made it easier for us to get the footage we needed - at 3.00pm it was still light enough in order for us to gain a good hour and a half before it was so dark that we couldn't continue filming the rest of our trailer. During this time, we managed to get all 5 of the scenes that we planned filmed. Unfortunately, one actor was unable to make it to our shoot for personal reasons, however we still managed to get a large chunk of the filming done without him.
On the plus side, having fewer people on location made it easier as everyone knew what they were doing and no one was getting distracted. In addition to this, the lighting available to us was a benefit as it allowed us to get more filmed in a shorted space of time. The change of role that occurred last week, worked to our advantage dramatically - we were about to spend less time getting our 'entity' ready as there was less of a illusion to create on our new character due to the way she looks already.
In conclusion to this, we plan to meet at a very similar time next week in hope that we can get a similar amount of our footage covered again. In addition to this, by all characters turning up on time would make our shoot go smoother - this is due to the fact we can get the last few scenes filmed without having to remake any of our trailer.
