Practical: Typography

The inspiration for our Typography came from the film poster for "The Cabin In The Woods" as it worked well with the genre as well as the type of horror film that it was. The archaic and gothic text complemented the type of film therefore I decided to continue with a similar style of typography.

Here is our final typography: 

This was created by selecting the font "Adobe Garamond Pro" and then put it into Bold in order to create the thick black lines of the text. I then ordered and placed the words accordingly to the best composition I could find. Here are a couple of the possible ideas that I came up with - however, the placement of the final typography worked well as they size of the text compliment each other. 

Following this, I used the Filter tab in order to add dust and scratches as well as crystalising segments of the font in order to give it an old, rugged look. 

This resulted in the final product being the typography we plan to use for our final trailer:
